

The group travels to Coruscant, where Padmé pleads with the Galactic Senate to help end the invasion. Padmé objects to Qui-Gon's plan to enter the young slave boy they met, Anakin Skywalker, into a dangerous pod race in order to acquire the parts they need, but Anakin enters and wins the race, allowing them to leave Tatooine. Together, they all escape the planet, where they land on Tatooine in order to repair the damage the ship took during their escape. Along the way, she and her closest followers are rescued by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi. As the planet is invaded, Padmé is initially arrested and led towards an internment camp.
